About Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai, the 'Rose of the North', is the aviation and education hub of the entire northern region as well as being the most important culturally. The city is set on a plain at an elevation of 316 metres in the Thai Highlands. It is a former capital of the ancient Lanna kingdom; history and culture play a significant part in the economic and social functioning.
